Scottish ale is a full-bodied, malty beer with a rich caramel flavor and a moderate alcohol content (typically 3-5% ABV). It is brewed with a variety of malts, including pale malt, crystal malt, and roasted malt, which give it its characteristic sweetness and depth of flavor. Hops are used sparingly, and the bitterness is usually low to medium.

Includes malt extract, hops, grains, dry malt, and yeast.
